Month: February 2021

Reece Regan completes his Debut Burnout in his newly built Blown Injected HR Holden Ute “ADHD” at Whoop Ass Wednesday. The car was displayed at Motorvation but wasn’t quite ready to turn tyres after a huge 12 month build on the car which started with nothing more than a HR Shell and the engine from his ADHD VK Commodore.

Reece plus a few mates and the team at Real Restorations have built the car from scratch with a completely new chassis under the car, shortened 9 inch diff, custom rear tray, engine bay, new floor and trans tunnel.

The 6.0 Litre Cast Iron LS was freshened up by Mark at Pro West and now runs a Magneto to allow for more fuel, more boost with the aim of making more power than the VK did previously. This combo hasn’t seen a Dyno yet but considering the VK made 818rwhp we’re expecting slightly higher numbers when it’s run up.

The Test Burnout is always a good opportunity to weed out any teething issues with the car which is exactly what happened here with the Gearbox suffering a few problems and spewing oil. Hopefully an easy fix and we would expect to see the car back for Burnout King on April 2nd.

WA Sporting Car Club’s DriftWest team have announced the 2021 calendar for the drift practice nights.  Previously held on Saturday nights only, this year there are a mix of Friday and Saturday nights with use of the main track and infield to allow drivers of all types
