This was Round 2 for the excel championship. Due to some covid delays the Renault wasn’t ready and as Alex wanted to sit out of the Collie race for some family time. I didn’t want to waste a entry or accommodation so put my name in the hat.
Just a quick vlog style update on where we are at with the Renault Megane and Dodge Viper projects.
Was a very sunny humid day for round 1 of the WA Excel Cup championship forming part of the WA Sporting Car Clubs twilight race meeting at Wanneroo Raceway. We had Alex Newton driving the Luxe Performance Excel.
The sun was out and the weekend was set to be perfect but yet Murphy’s law got me and we had a bad run at round one of the Speed Event Series at Collie.
We have done a few small jobs over the off season namely the new control coil overs as well as work to reinforce the front LCA mount points (see earlier video) we also did a heap of maintenance, tidy up work, modifying the exhaust and baffling the sump.
Brent Peters took the time to sit down with Frankie Francis from Not Scared Racing and Fabrication to learn a little bit more about his back ground and his new build the 400Z.
After 4 months if it being stuck in Victoria I finally got our newest present over and able to drive. For those that don’t know we got a bargain at the Lloyds auctions on a Renault Megane RS250 which my lovely wife deemed to be my 40th present from the family .
