After Shane van Gisbergen had his winning ways interrupted at the 2nd round of the 2021 Shannon’s Motorsport Australia Championships, his first win of the weekend at the Beaurepaires Tasmania SuperSprint looked to reinstate his dominant run in motorsport this year. However Red bull Ampol Racing driver Jamie
A few weekends ago we headed down to Wanneroo Raceway for the Wanneroo Sporting Car Club Nightmaster Series where we caught up with the GHR Racing Team and Car Number 76.
The car is an EX V8 Supercar (VE Commodore) and is owned and driven by Garry Hills who travels all over the country competing.
This car makes ALL the right noises and just quietly we were majorly excited to be involved in this one, having grown up watching V8 supercars, to get up close an personal with one in this fashion is definitely an item ticked off the list.
This was the first time the car had been out in a little while so the GHR team are just shaking the car down and making sure they and the car are all good to head over East with to compete interstate. This car has previously competed in the Kumho Tyre Super3 Series and the Kumho Tyre Australian V8 Touring Car Series.
Mike (WA Racing Developments) who has worked on top tier V8 Supercar teams in his earlier years and is a part of the GHR Team was on hand to check over the data and was also on the intercom throughout the whole race.
We definitely are keen to get more of this car on camera, I mean really – who wouldn’t be!?

Fast Friday returned to the Perth Motorplex on Friday April 16th and from what we hear, they may be making a return! Here’s some photos from the Speedway side of the night. Oh Speedway, how I’ve missed you.
Specators who came down to check out all the action from Day Four Targawest 2020 at the Malaga Street Stage were treated to a few sessions of drifting by the D1WA Pro Drift Cars.
We managed to capture just a taste of what they had on offer between racing rounds!
Curb to curb, smoke pouring out, and all the right noises! Featuring the likes of Pro Drivers Mitch Larner and Adam Monck plus more!
Stick around for the race coverage of Day Four very shortly, and if you haven’t seen the first 2 days coverage of the Harrop Blown Lotus GT at Targawest 2020 make sure to check those out on our channel also!

Day Three and the Lotus continued it’s campaign – making the drive to the East of Perth City and into the quaint country town of Toodyay.
Long loose surfaced roads at speed certainly made for some edge of the seat action, the temperature today was in the high 30’s so not only was the heat from the sun peaking, the heat in the race for the stage wins was also sky high!
Unfortunately there was one temperature that was high, and it ended the day early for the Lotus. Unfortunately the boys broke a drive belt in the later stages of Toodyay and had to retire the car to the service park for the afternoon to get it repaired to be able to drive it back to Perth. It was a massive shame as the car had overall lead for the last 3 days up until then… And even during the second half of the stage in which the car was at a significantly reduced power level (due to no drive to the Harrop Supercharger, and the coolant temp off the dial) the boys still managed to place second for that stage!
Precision driving by Peter Rullo and Navigated by Jimmy Marquet the boys pushed hard right until the end. Mike (WA Racing Developments) and the team from Lotus Perth were quick to get the car turned around in the Service Park (in a near 40 degree heat tarmac carpark) so that the car could be driven back to Perth and compete on the final day.
These have taken some time so I do apologise for such a long delay between these videos, but they are worth it 🙂

When we were approached by Michelle and asked if we would be interested in doing some video for them of the Beach Bomb in action I think we’d shouted YES before the question had even finished!
Watching Nitro cars since a kid and knowing how incredible everything about the experience is – the sight, the smell, the sound, the feeling…. To be standing right next to one holding a camera is a completely out of this world experience. Imagine all of those feelings and senses but times 1000!!
We wanted to prove that we can adapt to all situations and that we were capable of delivering a high quality product no matter what was in front of the lens, this was no exception. Although we only spent a short amount of time with the Beach Bomb crew on the day, it has definitely created a massive desire to jump onboard the minute this car is back at the track! The learnings from filming the car at this round are massive and the next video we put together of this car will be even more impressive.
The creativity bar was definitely raised for the making of this video, really raised…. 😀
We hope it’s well received, it will be hard to trump this one for at least a little while!
A massive thankyou to Michelle, Andrew, the Katavatis Family and Beach Bomb Crew for having us onboard and we can’t wait to do it again next season!
Also a big thanks to the Perth Motorplex for providing some of the track footage included in this video!
We really hope you enjoy this one, we really are spoilt with such an awesome group of people in our Drag Racing Community.
Bring on the 21/22 Season!

This video was special to us, we wanted to take the time to really portray the importance of this family in the sport of Drag Racing in Western Australia.
We really hope you enjoy this, and a big thankyou to the McClures for helping with the write up below.
Wayne and the whole Keys family are absolute stalwarts of W.A Drag Racing for 30 plus years.
His first real race car was his home built LX Torana Hatch that he had great success running in Supergas in W.A and around the country. He then spent some time crewing on the Boston Strangler Funny Car (Which still races to this day).. Before purchasing a Murray Anderson Doorslammer Chassis, fitting a BMW body to it and then campaigning it in the AA/AP class.
Some years later a Monaro body was fitted to this chassis and went on to set National Records many times, becoming the first AP car into the 5 sec zone. He also won the Australian Championship in 2013.
The Monaro finished with an awesome best ET of 5.83, which was faster than a lot of Doorslammers at the time. Wayne then decided he needed a new car and set about importing a Tim McAmis Promod Chassis kit. He proceeded to build an absolute work of art with his very talented crew and family and of which you will see as featured in this video. The Camaro won back to back WA Championships and Wayne reset his own National Record to a 5.86 – capping off a brillant career.
We hope you all enjoy this as much as we do, and we wish Wayne, Lisa and the Keys Family and Team a well earned retirement. But we do hope to see you all down the track for many more years!
We’ve mentioned it several times lately, but we really are spoilt with such an awesome group of people in our Drag Racing Community.

What if there was a way to nurture Australian open wheel talent, in Australia, while still leaving overseas options open? The standard path to Formula 3, Formula 2 or Formula 1 for any Australian has generally been to pack up bags and head overseas as there has been no reputable
Time for us to take a bit of a trip back to the beginning of the year when the Summernats team took over Motorvation and raised the bar for the event’s future runnings! The video looks at various parts of the event and was put together by one
We admit that our knowledge of the technology behind going racing on two or four wheels is quite limited and we’re loving the MCRCWA Tech Talk video’s that the Motorcycle Racing Club of WA are putting out via Marc Rossiter. The videos aren’t too
