After a wet and wild November 2020 Nightmasters, the WA Sporting Car Club is ready for some fine weather for the March 2021 edition of the Nightmasters event.
Despite the weather in 2020 the spectator parking areas were still well used and with the weather expected to be in the low 20s overnight on the 27th, they’re hoping that the continued ability for motorsport fans will bring more back for the round.
The action kicks off just before 12pm with the open wheeler categories of Formula Vee, Formula Ford and Formula Racing aka the classics, each having qualifying sessions and 3 races each with an 8, 10, 8 lap race format.
Mid afternoon sees the Sports Sedans & Sports Cars and Excel Cup cars take to the track followed by the first of their races. The Sports Sedans & Sports Cars will be running just 2 races this event with each race 15 laps long. The Excels will be in a standard 8, 10, 8 lap race format.
The late afternoon session sees the Tarmac Sportz Series Sprint entrants get some practice in before their first sessions at 5pm. Around this time is when the HQ Holdens and Saloon Cars will take to the track for the qualifying.
After dinner it is all about the tin tops with the Sports Sedans & Sports Cars kicking things off with their 2nd and last 15 lap race, the Excels 2nd race of 10 laps and the Saloon Cars who will also be running 15 lap races. There will be 4 more sessions in total for the Sprint entrants including the chance to take to the track in the dark before the HQ Holdens finish out the evening.
