Jake Myers puts the iconic Myer’s Mustang “S1CKO” on the Summerrnats Burnout pad for the last time during the Burnout Masters qualifying session, and what a Burnout it was.

With a whole heap of revs from the Blown Injected Windsor and a drive from one end of the pad to the other it was certainly a contender for a Top 10 position into the Burnout Masters Final, unfortunately the judges deemed the car to have crossed the exit line mid-burnout resulting in a loss of valuable points.

The Summernats Dyno record has been broken.

The Maatouks Racing-built VL Commodore, MAKDDY, took the record with an incredible 2,504rwhp from the boosted RB30/26 VL Commodore.

Running an astonishing 79psi and 11,000rpm the screaming combo punched out a series of runs in excess of 2,300rwhp with a best of run coming during qualifying.

Taking out the Overall Horsepower title along with the Boosted Six-Cylinder class trophy and the Boost Demon award for the mammoth 79psi.

Andrew Lynch (aka “The People’s Champion”) takes his first ever Burnout Masters win at Summernats 36 in his LS powered Corolla “LYNCHY”.

With two insane displays of wheelwork in the Masters Qualifying and Final, it’s easy to see why he took the win with full use of the Burnout Pad at speed, along with a consistent and solid amount of smoke..

Thomas Baz has built himself what can only be described as Australia’s Wildest Range Rover, and YES, it’s Built to Smash Tyres.

Running a Blown Injected 4.8L Cast LS, Turbo 400 and 9 Inch it will certainly make an impression at its debut next week at Summernats, and in front of a huge crowd will be smashing a set of tyres in the Wild Card shootout on Thursday afternoon with 30 other weapons.

Thanks to Thomas for sending the footage through of his test skid. With a few teething problems identified, mainly the rear brakes not releasing he now has a week to sort a few issues out before the Range Rover Sport takes to the big stage in 6 days times.
