To say the cobwebs were blown out would be an understatement, check out this angry Nitromethane fuelled funnycar make a hit as Emma gets ready to battle it out in the upcoming Nitro Max Series at the Perth Motorplex – with Round One kicking of this Saturday the 11th December!

There’s somewhat of an ominious presence when these cars roll up to stage, as they crank the fuel tap wide open and you hear that distinct nitro cackle go almost silent as the motor loads up and the revs pull down, and then all hell breaks loose!

If you haven’t got your tickets for Round One yet, make sure to get a move on and come down and see some of the wildest cars and racing the sport has to offer.

We’ve seen the interest from you guys in the last few big tyre’d blown car videos we have put up, so thought it would be a wise move to continue capturing these wild rides at each event.

This event did not disappoint, with summer now here in Perth Western Australia track conditions were hot! With the surface temp in excess of 50 degrees celsius and ambient into the mid 30’s, it made for some hot action and some insane door car passes.

One of our favourite door cars made an appearance in Pino Priolo and his 1937 Chevrolet Couple Top Doorslammer, this car is bad to the bone and commands attention when it rolls out from under the bridge!

Turn it up as they don’t get much angrier than this outside of the Nitromethane classes!

We headed down on the Saturday for Day Two of the 47th GoldenStates Championship at the Perth Motorplex, we couldn’t get down for the qualifying rounds on the Friday but there was plenty of action left to see.

We saw a good size field of OLR for this round, with your favourite cars back down at the track and also with Phil Gardiner bringing his insane VS Maloo down to go head to head with the regulars!

Tim was back in the WILD wheelstanding 12A Turbo Rotary Datsun Ute, Ben brought his SOHC powered rocketship Mustang down to play along with Kev’s no nonsense Big Block Turbo Trans AM plus the DS Racing Foxbody and the Begleys Twin Turbo One Tonner.

The track was a challenge with the surface temp well above 50 degrees celcius and ambient temp in the mid 30’s, summer has definitely arrived over here in Perth Western Australia!

Anthony Page made the last minute decision to attend Narrogin Revheads but was without parts needed to complete his engine, over a few beers his cousin came to the rescue with an old Cast Headed 383 Chev, with a heap of mismatched parts and his Blower set-up the combo still rattled off 700rwhp and Pagey then went on to put the combo to the ultimate test with 3 Burnouts at Revheads.
