Van Gisbergen returned to his dominating racing form with a clean sweep of the Tasmanian SuperSprint over the weekend
After a rough and tumble introduction to the Supercars main game, Broc Feeney has gone on to score his maiden podium at the Tasmanian SuperSprint
Round Three of the Nitro Max series was quickly upon us, with a few casualties from the previous round (and subequent test days in the lead up to this event) we had a bit of a lighter field than last round but also saw the usual suspects back for more nitro fuelled racing.
This round brought along Kyle Putland in “Under Pressure”, Anthony Begley back into the “Dark Knight” , Michael Brooks in the Front Engine Dragster “Nitro Mayhem”, Matt Abel in “Nitro Thunder” and Andrew Katavatis the “Beach Bomb”!
Day One gave us 2 rounds of racing with Day Two holding a further 3, the two rounds proved to be enough to again put the cars to the test with Beg’s having an almightly rear tyre blowout in the funnycar at 3/4 track, Broosky after major blower issues last round was fighting with keeping blower belts on the blower… and Matt Abel taking a close up look at the left hand wall for good measure! Never short of action with these cars!!

The hard-working volunteers and the sensational club committee at Wangaratta City Raceway have another big event this Saturday night as the Australian Compact Speedcars headlines the night from 5pm Saturday
South Gippsland motorsport venue Nyora Raceway is back in action this Saturday night with three big main events the feature of the evening with races that honour a club friend and former member, a state title and a popular big eight-cylinder class all delivering the action.
If you are a motorsport fan, you will not want to miss this Saturday nights event at Redline Raceway on Mount Buninyong as it is time for the Victorian Sprintcar title and the ‘King of the Mount’ for Street Stocks once again with almost sixty total entrants just in those two classes alone
This Saturday night the Australian Compact Speedcar title takes centre stage at Wangaratta City Raceway and competitors from right across the eastern seaboard from Queensland down to local Victorians have entered, in fact thirty drivers in total in what will be the 41st edition of the big event.
The Victorian Grand Prix Midget Racing Associations latest ‘Stinger Chassis’ Masters Series event was held at Rushworth Speedway where competition was sensational in the hunt for the win in the ‘Ironbark Classic’.
More action than you can poke a stick at (as usual with these guys and girls!)… This is all front row edge of your seat the action from Day One of the Westerns!
With another awesome turnout of big tyred blown cars and a handful of dragsters thrown in for good measure, we were treated to another action packed session of racing… This time with no major incidents that prevented anyone from making Day Two (as far as we know!), although no contact with the wall there were a few close calls as the cars moved around on the entire width of the track surface as they do – with a few timing boxes sacrificed in the process….
Make sure you check out the Blown Car videos on the channel from the other rounds this season, can never get enough blown action and they’re all as crazy as the next to watch!
