Bridget Bell takes a sneak peek at Stewart Parris’ build “THE 55” which will be debuting at this years’ Hot Rod and Street Machine Spectacular, held Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of November 2022 at Claremont Exhibition Centre.

The progress being made in this car is pretty remarkable, for a driver who has never raced before it might look like not alot is going on but the incrementals are on par with some of the cars and drivers that have been doing this for a good amount of time now.

The testing is just as important for the all Female pit crew as it is for Lisa as a driver, and everyone is learning and developing at a pretty rapid rate, come time to put the car up against the rest of the field it’s going to have all paid off that’s for sure!

With all the continued support and motivation from Husband Daniel and the rest of the Scratch and Match team, the confidence is definitely starting to build and we are very much looking forward to that day (which we don’t think will be too far in the distant future) where both of the Gregorini Camaro Door Slammers will be lined up side by side at a Championship Round!

This fairly unassuming Series 3 RX7 would have to be the definition of a wolf in sheeps clothing, I mean yeah it has a reasonable rear tyre on the back but there isn’t a ginormous turbo poking out the bonnet, nor is the car encased in a super streamline pro mod carbon fibre shell – just a regular old RX7 with some wheelie bars bolted to the back.

Pickle isn’t shy to a track day or getting some decent testing in, be it in his car or someone else that has willingly let him jump behind the wheel to shake it down… he’s been around Rotaries for a pretty long time now and being part owner of Rotomotion he has a pretty solid foundation and history to lean on when it comes to making these little engines really get up and go!

Some cracking passes on the track day, another of the cars that was just keeping in front of the track and managing to get that power down. With some very respectable times banked for the day, and although this was back in August – he’s recently broken into the 6’s and surpassed the 200mph mark in this same car (albeit a nice fresh livery update down the side of the car!).

What an absolute weapon of a car and driver, can’t wait to see what the car can do next!

Another stout rotary that puts W.A on the map when it comes to crazy fast rotor action.

If there’s one car that grabs your attention it has to be this tough as nails XY, it has the looks, the smells and the sounds that tick all the right boxes!

As seen on the channel before, the small block powered with a decent hint of laughing gas for good measure definitely gets up and boogies.. With Brodie from Advanced Race Fab close by to keep the car in check and Mick behind the wheel it’s a pretty solid team combo!

Enjoy the Falcon ripping a few Sub 10 second passes on a pretty challenging track that most of the other cars were trying to read all day long.

Ricky Mills from Traralgon has won his first ever Wingless Sprint feature event on Saturday afternoon when he took down the Gippsland Wingless Sprint Series Round 1 at Drouin Speedway. Mills was not the only big winner as the ‘Bunyip Bandit’ Jeff Blencowe once again won the ‘Sally Memorial’ for Standard Saloon’s in honour of Sally Walkinshaw.

This true street car in full trim blows our mind everytime we see it now, with minimal changes since the last outing and just a touch up from master tuner Shannon (Tunecorp) right off the bat Ned and the Supra were literally right where they left off almost 6 months prior…. And it’s that close to snagging that elusive 9 second slip that it’s almost unfair at this point!

The time it ran straight out of the gate is yet another PB for this little rocket, we nearly had one last pass at the end of the track hire but we ran out of time (literally had the car on the start line ready to go too, but the timing system had already been shut down and wasn’t going to be restarted before the track hire session had finished!!).

One of the only cars to actually master the track this day, Connor (who we didn’t even realise was driving until afterwards, and thought it was actually his Dad – Anthony, and only due to how hard he sent the car on the very first pass) was not here to look at the scenery or ease into anything…. Wasting no time rocketing his HZ Tonner down the track and making it look like zero effort was required when just about every other car could barely make it past the 60ft without blazing the rears!

Seriously impressive to watch, the last time we saw the car it was running a fairly different combo again… So to see the car back and be right at the pointy end of things was mind blowing! And no idea what Connor had for breakfast that morning but he definitely needs to make that a part of his race day routine as he was absolutely on a mission every single pass the car made!

Have no doubt there is plenty still left in the car and can’t wait to see what it brings to the table next time we see it!

Ever since the 2020 Christmas Party set back for the HZ (video also on our channel of that one!) , the ute just keeps getting better and better….

Another car you’ve probably seen before on here, getting more testing in for this spectacular looking Valiant. Not quite the challenge the Drag Challenge runner up was going for with the track fighting the car for most of the day (and not from lack of trying either!), but we did manage to get a couple of half decent runs in which was good to see.

The car has since gone on to really get into a groove, and with a fresh set of rears is really starting to get back to where it should be – you can find those passes in the recent Super Street upload!

We hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of this one, it’s a seriously cool ride!

Build Specs Below:
