Back at the pointy end, the loudest, biggest, quickest, fastest, most powerful and most violent cars on the premises…. If those select few weren’t aren’t impressive enough for you, how about 7 of them equalling in excess of 70,000hp!

If you haven’t ever experienced Top Fuel for yourself in person, there is no way to describe it that will come close to what actually being near them is like. It’s an absolute assault on every single one of your senses, and to watch these cars accelerate from a complete stop to over 500km/h in less than 4 seconds whie pulling over 5G’s doing it – and in most cases side by side all the way to the 1000ft mark… It is absolutely ridiculous to watch, to the point that your brain struggles to process how that is even physically possible, but it is, and the maniacs who voluntarily jump behind the wheel of these things love it! It’s pure insanity, but we will never get sick of being around them or watching it.

Purely looking at the crowd these Fuellers draw, be it in the stands or in the pits when they fire up after disassembling and reassembling the entire engine after every single pass – there’s no denying that people are in awe and that this is the pinnacle of the sport we live and breathe being Drag Racing.

We hope you enjoy this one, what an absolutely phenomenal acheivement by our local team and close friends in the Putland’s – absolutely inspiring effort from the entire team to campaign a car that was right there with the teams from the East that have been doing this for a very long time now. Can’t wait to watch the Putland’s progress in the Top Fuel Championship this year and we are genuinely proud of all they have acheived to date…. anything from here on out is an absolute bonus!

The wildest of wild when it comes to door cars, we have a massive field of them locally across both Top Doorslammer and Supercharged Outlaws – good enough that even a few Eastern Staters made the trip inaugral trip over to come and join in on the action!

It wouldn’t be a Blown Car video without a whole lot of edge of your seat action, which we think is just a given with these cars… A fair amount of carnage too with Zap going through several blowers and a motor while throwing everything at the new combo and running some ridiculous times down our quarter mile track!

The numbers in the stands were solid, and so was the entertainment put on for them!

Unfortunately we couldn’t make it down for the Friday night (albeit we didn’t miss much according to reports), we did get down there for the Saturday and weren’t disappointed by any means.

Make sure you check out the Blown Car videos on the channel from the other rounds last season and buckle up for what’s in store for this coming season, can never get enough blown action and they’re all as crazy as the next to watch!

Daylesford Speedway is hoping to get their season under way this Sunday starting just before lunch with a full show including all the clubs’ independent classes along with Vintage and Victorian Speedway Council classes.

Having been cancelled due to weather twice, the diligent committee has been busy in the basin working the track over and checking to make sure parking areas are strong and safe.
