MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway witnessed a new outright benchmark during the Time Attack program at the inaugural OutPace Motorshow, with Todd Hazelwood delivering a stunning lap in the Tanuki Racing Nissan S13.
Earlier in the session, Hazelwood recorded a 48.7563-second lap, averaging 179 km/h around the circuit and breaking the long-standing outright lap record at the venue. The run marked the first time a car had dipped into the 48-second bracket at Wanneroo and immediately became the headline moment of the event.
While the record lap came earlier in the program, the official finishing order was determined during the final shootout run.
Hazelwood again proved quickest in that final session, recording a 49.0913-second lap to secure top position on the timesheets.
Alex Rullo finished second fastest in the final run aboard his Lamborghini with a 51.6796-second lap, while Western Australia’s Laine Brandis completed the order in the Brandis Racing Nissan R32 Skyline with a best of 53.6025 seconds.
Final Shootout Times
Todd Hazelwood — 49.0913
Alex Rullo — 51.6796
Laine Brandis — 53.6025
While the final classification came down to the shootout lap, Hazelwood’s earlier 48.7563-second record run stood as the defining performance of the weekend, resetting the outright lap benchmark at MotorMall Wanneroo Raceway.
