Aiden Stampalia achieved in a few weeks what takes most months or years.
Over the last 12 – 18 Aiden has been working on the car and just 18 days before Summernats the Torana was nothing more than a bare shell with the chassis work and exhaust completed.
With the help of a few mates and Streetline Automotive the car was completed in record time, with a quick Burnout Test before leaving it was then towed across the Nullabor for a shot at the Wildcard competition.
Things didn’t go exactly to plan with the car experiencing tyre fires in both Burnouts but the acheivement of getting the car to the event and performing in front of a record crowd is something that should be commended.
Phil Kerjean takes the Runner-up Spot during the Burnout Championship at Summernats 35 and dedicates his podium finish to his close friend Sam Fenech who tragically passed away over the weekend in a Drag Racing accident.
Our sincere condolences to the Fenech family.
Pete Grmusa secured a spot into the Burnout Masters after placing in the Top 5 at Gazzanats Darwin, always one to put on a show in his Blown Injected Chev powered XR Falcon “ATRISK”, the Falcon is one of the Angriest cars at the event.
All went well during the qualifying run until he got stuck facing a wall and the reverse gear selector nut failed.

Chris Orchard punishes his Blown Injected SBC VL Commodore “THE OG” all the way to the Burnout Masters Final at Summernats 35
After securing 1 of 3 tickets available in the Thursday Wildcard competition which got him through to the Masters Qualifying he then went on to place in the Top 10 of Qualifying (consisting of 38 cars) which secured his spot into the Finals.
After 2 almost perfect skids in the Wildcard and Qualifying a small wall tap in the Final ruled him out of a placing.
