WA Outlaw Radial Cars at Round 7 of the 2020 WA Drag Racing Championship Series, Day Two of the 50th Annual Westernationals.

With the majority of qualifying knocked out on Day One, today was game day.

The track was exceptional for a race round and the boys were going to make the most of it, the standout for the day being Kevin Boulton in MUMBO who managed to knock a second or two off nearly each pass and resetting his and the cars personal best every single time the car hit the strip.

MUMBO ended the night with the best pass the car has ever done by a country mile and positioning himself to be knocking right on the door of that elusive number that every car running a radial tyre in Western Australia wants to be the first to stake their claim on.

As with the last race round video, there is no feature car in this upload. We’ve decided to split up the feature car from the racing video and you can find the video on the individual feature car (which for this round is the Twin Turbo 427 LSX LC Torana) on the channel also. This makes it much easier to share a focussed video on the one car and also give the feature as much air time as possible.

WA Outlaw Radial Cars at Round 7 of the 2020 WA Drag Racing Championship Series, Day One of the 50th Annual Westernationals.

The field was back with some good numbers and the usual suspects making an appearance.

Dale had the SR20 Powered Datsun 1200 Ute back with a few panel repairs, the Performance Towing Torana was out to pick up where they left off in the 2018/19 Season and after a full overhaul of the car and the Mustangs of Ben Pisconeri and Lorenzo Gullotto were on a mission to get those ET’s down!

We knew this weekend was going to be massive and with the sun and moon aligned it just so happened that the Torana was ready to rumble for its first time back out since a near on complete overhaul of the entire car was undertaken. We weren’t going to miss the opportunity to capture the car this time around, it was set to be epic.

The car features a Twin Precision Gen 2 Turbo, Mast Headed 427ci LSX and in a video you may have seen on our channel a few weeks back pushed 1900+ HP to the rear wheels.

Jeff, Lauren, Lundy, Darryl and all the crew had the car completely fine tuned to the point in it’s first licensing pass out on Day One looked like the car was on rails! Once the two licensing passes were in the bag Darryl was not mucking around, hurtling the car straight back into the 7’s on only it’s 3rd pass out!! Absolutely unreal.

The Torana, on a 275 radial tyre is back in the running with an ever growing list to be the first to break into that elusive 6 second club on a radial tyre in W.A.

A great bunch of guys and girls and an awesome iconic car, thanks again for having us onboard team!

To say Jay Okely didn’t have a good weekend in Esperance would be an understatement. Debuting his new Blown Commodore “MEMUMSCAR” at Coastal Carnage involved a thrash to get the car ready.

At the show Jay come off a Dirt Bike and injured his shoulder just before his Debut, thinking it wasn’t anything too serious (even though he was in pain) he attempted the Skid only to sieze the Stock LS1 and find out later that day that he had Dislocated his Shoulder at the AC Joint..
