Darryl Ferguson tries to clear the wall at Motorvation 36 in his Blown EFI Truck “SMOKNRAT”, only to be shutdown shortly after due to an engine bay fire.

The event gives an opportunity to people who may not be able to enjoy high speed thrills the chance to jump into a drift car and be driven at speed around a drift circuit for a few laps.

Debuting at Motorvation 36 is Justin Pitsikas’s impressive Supercharged EFI LS powered BMW. The team behind BYE Performance are responsible for the build and tune of a large contingent of Blown & Open Class Burnout Competitors in WA.

Justin & the BYE Team built the car with the sole intention of Smashing Tyres and utilizing some cool technology along the way, 33 pounds of Boost is certainly going to liven things up too. I caught up with Justin after he christened the Motorvation 36 Skidrow with this car the first Burnout laid down on the now Black piece of Staging Lane.

Before hitting the Burnout pad Justin had the idea of attempting a rolling shot of the car smoking the tyres down the Drag Strip and he managed to peel tyres for the entire quarter mile (check out the footage, it’s pretty cool). Before he even made it back to the Burnout Pad the car had destroyed a brand-new set of tyres.

After a successful day testing the new car Justin hit the Burnout Pad and everything was going perfectly until the bracket holding the DBW on the Injector Hat broke resulting in the Butterflies being stuck at full throttle, with the engine singing above 8,200rpm it sounded awesome and managed to get tyres off, only to get stuck in the chute on the way out..

In this quick Nug project clip, our friend Zoe goes back to her speedway background and gets her excel SUPER sideways at turn 1, yet she saved it and got it back on track, what a ledgend 🙂

Chris Orchard debuts his new VH SLE Commodore “THE GAME” at Motorvation 36, running a Dodge Nascar Engine that are designed to run at 8,000rpm+ there is not too many examples of a better sounding engine combo. After qualifying in the Top 10 for the Pro Class Finals, Chris went on to secure 3rd place with this awesome skid in only his 2nd drive of the car.

Dwane “PEPER IT” Pallentine has taken out the number 1 spot for the Motorvation PRO CLASS burnout competition. Congratulations to Dwane. Here is a quick Highlight video of the PRO CLASS winning skid!
