The 2022 WA Excel Cup is ready to get racing at the upcoming WA Sporting Car Club meet at Wanneroo Raceway in February but there will be some big changes mechanically and on the grid that will bring smiles and tears to competitors and fans of the category.

This weekend at the Perth Motorplex the will be hosting the AAA Metal Recycling Sprintcar Westernapolis featuring Sprintcars, Speedcars, Late Models, Formula 500s and a monster firework show.
Originally created as a ‘mini’ rally, the delays have allowed the Sapphire Coast Sporting Car Club (SCSCC) to find MORE roads for the rally with thanks to Forestry NSW who have made an enormous effort in grading roads, building bridges, and creating creek crossings.

Iain Sherrin’s Ontic Sports has handed over the category management rights to Troy Williams’ Production Car Racing Pty Ltd who is both a former competitor and previous general manager of Ontic since late 2020.
The six round series is scheduled for a return to track on February 18 and 19 at Sydney Motorsport Park with some racing to be run under lights.

Racewars has officially cancelled its interim 2022 event scheduled to be held at the Perth Motorplex on February 25th to 27th 2022 and all future events.
