All the way from New Zealand is Hayden Wilby’s Blown Injected VT Commodore “NUTOUT”. It’s not very often you see a Manual Burnout Car and Hayden certainly put in a solid effort, unfortunately a few wall taps and a big tyre fire during Masters Qualifying ruled him out of contention.

After one of the Craziest Burnouts during the Wildcard Shootout (link below) which was enough to secure Lynchy 1 of 5 spots into the Burnout Masters Qualifying, he was on a mission to secure 1 of 10 spots into the Masters Final.
When you leave caution to the wind and drive like this sometimes things go wrong, firstly a wall tap in the deep end was enough to rule out any chance of Finals spot but when you knock Reverse at 7,200rpm and destroy the Gearbox you have no chance of driving off and in a field where the Top 10 is separated by only a few points, these deductions are extremely costly.

Tim Brown managed to score 1 of 10 spots into the Burnout Masters Final in his Supercharged VK Commodore “CEMBLO” with a clinical display during qualifying.. Mitchell Hawes starts strong at Summernats 33 in his Blown LS2 Ford Courier, unfortunately the wheel studs snapped resulting in the wheel coming off before he reached the Centre of Burnout pad.
BLOWN COMMODORE “WIZARD” TYRE FIRE AT SUMMERNATS 33
Joe Tyler puts his Immaculate Supercharged LS3 EH Wagon “MATURED” on the Burnout Pad at Summernats 33, this car would fit right at home in any Elite Tent but looks even better smashing tyres, after a small tyre fire Joe decided to call it a day.
Cleetus McFarland made the trip to Summernats 33 in his Supercharged 632 Cube Big Block Camaro “TOAST”. After breaking the engine in the first burnout the crew managed to source a replacement engine and have the car running within 24 hours.
The 2nd Burnout was a success with car managing to get the tyres off.
Cleetus then returned for the Finals for one last Burnout but this was cut short due to mechanical issues, if you watch the footage you can see the engine trying to turnover with no success.
Not to be deterred Cleetus finishes the weekend off with a good old Aussie Shoey (drinking a beer from your shoe)…
