On the 13th of December 2020, we were privelaged to be invited down to be involved with two major milestone events at the same place, same time… The Shannons Insurance Gone But not Forgotten Car Show which paid homage to all things Holden & General Motors Australia, and a the Torque N Power 100th Podcast Radio Episode!

Even with the weather not playing the game, the turnout was incredible. The calibre of the cars that presented for the show and the owners with their stories were truly remarkable – to say the show was a success would be an understatement.

We even had one of our cars there on show and we couldn’t have been prouder to be there in attendance let alone be a part of the team that was behind capturing this historically significant event.

Thankyou to Shannons Insurance, Torque N Power and to everyone who attended and brought their cars and special stories and memorabilia.

We really hope you enjoy this one, we learned alot for how we want to film these kinds of events moving forward and we can’t wait for the next one!

Organised by the WADRA Team, who’s mission to enhance the sport of Drag Racing for all competitors and supporters by promoting goodwill and open communications between all competitors, supporters and race officials shone true on Saturday with this very special display consisting of some of the support cars and crews in the WA Drag Racing Community.

The intention behind this special cruise which is core of WADRA is to continue to promote the sport of Drag Racing in Western Australia and encourage and foster the spirit of unity and sportsmanship among it’s members, volunteers, supporters and race officials.

Most importantly, the cruise was to have some fun and create a memory of the pit paddock side of racing life!

The cruise invited all competitors, crews, track staff, volunteers and ANDRA personnel to participate in a cruise of small vehicles, bikes, buggies, carts or other creations before the racing commenced on Saturday 10th April 2021.

What a great way to start the Final Round for the Season!

We really hope you enjoy this one, we had alot of fun filming this and we really are spoilt with such an awesome group in our Drag Racing Community.

Bring on the 21/22 Season!

Get ready to have your chest stomped on, your ears popped and your eyebrows burnt off as the fiery Jet Dragsters return to the Perth Motorplex as part of the WA Drag Racing Grand Finals on Saturday 10th April. Categories running include: Summer Slam Nitro Bikes Top Comp Super Comp

Day Two and the Lotus continued to dominate, this time we were on the highway with a short trip up the hill to Mundaring and Kalamunda.

Winding roads through the pristine national parks of the Darling Range made for some extremely scenic stages and also included one of the most impressive views of Perth which was very popular with most Perth locals until it was recently closed to traffic – the Zig Zags!

Piloted by Peter Rullo and Navigated by Jimmy Marquet, the boys continued their surge. Mike (WA Racing Developments) who is a seasoned professional when it comes to all things racing – be it in the seat or behind the scenes was on hand to check over the data logs after each stage and make any required adjustments as he saw fit.

These have taken some time so I do apologise for such a long delay between these videos, but they are worth it ๐Ÿ™‚

Stick around for Day 3 (followed by the final day 4) over the coming weeks!

WA Outlaw Radial Cars at Round 8 of the 2020 WA Drag Racing Championship Series.

As you can tell by the thumbnail for this round, the track definitely had some bite!! With Mumbo not the only one going sky high as they were able to bring the power on much sooner in the run.

With a good field of big hitting cars back, and a new one who frequents the drag strip on a Wednesday night and wanted a crack at a better prepped track the stage was set for some action packed racing.

Feature cars for this round were the Nitrous EK Ute, Eddy Tassone’s Twin Turbo GTO and we also dipped our toes in the deep end and hung out with the Beach Bomb crew and their Nitro Funnycar! All of those videos will be up on the channel very shortly – if not already.

I’d been waiting for the GTO to come back to the track to play, it did look like we would see the ballistic build from Active Automotive Performance Centre last round but a few last minute things held the car back.

The car owned and driven by Ed Tassone (Active Automotive), already has set the bar for the rest of the radial cars in running a 7.02 second pass some time ago. With the rest of the cars now starting to catch that number and the competition for the first 6 on a radial tyre heating up – it’s pretty awesome to see this car back to keep everyone on their toes.

Still a few things to sort out but the car is looking strong, we are aiming to jump back onboard next round (last round for this season) and grab some more content for you all to enjoy!

But for now enjoy this short, sweet, teaser of this ridiculously high powered HSV GTO.

I knew that as soon as I heard Mark was coming to join the party on a Saturday round that there is no chance I would not attempt to get some cameras in this car and do a cover of it. This is one of the toughest true street muscle cars around, it looks unreal, sounds unreal and it definitely can get out of its own way. I love everything about this car!

Mark is a regular down at the Motorplex and regularly frequents the off street drags on a Wednesday night with many of his cars, so he is no stranger to racing. When the opportunity to get a full days racing on a much better track prep than a mid week session, Mark was in!

With a PB on its very first pass on the Saturday, the car definitely has the potential to go even quicker with a little more time on a decent track. We hope to see Mark back again for the last round of the Radial Championship 2020/21 Season in a couple of weeks time.

A huge thanks to Mark and his family for letting us cover the car, great guy who knows his old school cars and performance like the best of them!

ย  Now we all know they happen and thereโ€™s enough coverage by mainstream media about them to make it look like motorsport is a completely incident-filled atrocity that should be banned, we all know the incidents are pretty rare and when they do happen, highly trained people jump
