This would have to be one of the best sounding Turbo LS Combo’s I think I’ve ever heard, you have to hear it in person as it was doing some funny things and resonating the heck out of the camera mic but trust me when I say it’s a monster!!

This car is a regular down at the Motorplex, driven by Josh Oosterwaal – it’s a 2002 Chevrolet Camaro with an LS Engine and Garrett GTX turbo. It runs an LSX Powertrain T400 with an in house built Sheet Metal 9 inch. Vitals are controlled by a Haltech ECU and the car is tuned by Con Oosterwaal and runs a 275 Radial. The car has so far managed a PB of 7.4 at 192mph!

I don’t know what car you were driving when you were 17, but I know for sure that mine didn’t make 2500 horsepower and had a Blown Hemi up front!

Going from a Junior Dragster into a Full Blown Funnycar (literally) is just mind blowing, and being able to drive it like a Pro… Just wow!

The car is a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Funnycar that was brought over from America by the Lush Brothers from Applied Automotive in Maddington and raced by Madison’s Dad (Ian) 22 years ago, it runs a 526ci Keith Black Hemi with a 16-71 Littlefield Blower on Methanol. The car has PB’d with a 6.01 @ 233mph (380km/h) with a 0.985 60ft. Madison has already managed to go 1.01 in the 60 which is just incredible!!

Can’t wait to see Madison in the car next season, as mentioned we’ll be jumping on board and getting up close and personal with the team and car so keep an eye out for that one – it should be pretty exciting to be involved with that’s for sure!

It finally happened!! We have our first 6 second radial car in Western Australia, now held by none other than Ed Tassone of Active Automotive Performance Centre.

With several of the big hitters pushing hard to claim the title, it was the Billet Noonan powered GTO that managed to wrap off an absolute monster pass to light the board up with that magic number.

As featured in a previous video, the car is owned and driven by Ed Tassone who has previously led the race to the 6’s in running as quick as a 7.02 second pass some time ago. The private track hire organised by Jeff Johnson was always going to provide the surface needed to get the job done, the weather was perfect and the only variable were the cars and drivers.

It took a few passes to settle the car in but once that happened this was inevitable.

A huge congratulations to Ed, Tony and all the team for the achievement!

We look forward to seeing that ET record being smashed even more as the cars get quicker and quicker.
