The man behind this car is one of the nicest, genuine, most humble and whatever the opposite of wanting to be in the limelight, quiet achiever you will probably meet… But strap him into the Mustang and he even surprises himself, with Jeff behind the tune the car just seems to respond every single time a change is made and just continues to exceed everyone’s expectations on what is actually capable from such a simple and somewhat sensible budget build. It has surpassed expectation that many times now it’s almost like every single time the car makes a pass nobody even knows what to expect anymore.

We would have to go through a fair amount of footage to actually find a pass that the Mustang managed to blow the tyres off the hit (running a smaller wheel combo than just about every other car at the track too) but this hasn’t stopped the Mustang which continues to hook pretty much all day everyday no matter what Jeff does to the tune, the car just goes!

If you want to see what is possible from this super simple combo, some seriously good workmanship and an extremely talented driver and tuner then look no further than this unassuming SN95. It doesn’t stand out in the crowd with a huge amount of radical parts hanging out of the bonnet, or wild bodykit’s and aero, or even huge radial tyres tucked under the rear… But it doesn’t need to, because this car does ALL of the talking out on the track!

We are always keen to see what other tricks Lundy and Jeff can pull out of the hat with this one, and can’t wait to have more of it on the channel.

And if you haven’t seen the behind the scenes documentary on what went into the track for the upcoming days prior to this event go and have a look!

The prep video has been months in the making – with alot of thought, effort and preparation behind the scenes (and we mean ALOT) to make this a truly unique and educational watch for anyone interested in learning just what it takes to turn a track from ‘ok’ to ‘elite’!

Seeing some of the W.A Radial Cars finally get the track they’ve been dreaming of here at the Perth Motorplex in Western Australia was a huge deal, and it’s definitely only just the beginning now that we’ve seen what is actually capable.

Check out the interviews with the experts – Justin, Lorenzo and Brendan to get the ins and outs of the weekend and what it took to put this educational documentary together.

The man of the hour, Lorenzo was one of the key people behind getting everything organised and in place to get our track prepped and turned into the best surface we’ve ever had at the Motorplex.

Lorenzo also pilots this weapon of a Mustang, and if you have watched our channel for a while you’ll be very familiar with this one!

The aim of the game for the weekend was getting the car prepped and ready for the upcoming Kenda event in Sydney so they were heavily testing the short track, the car took some time to get settled but they ended up getting it all worked out… Unfortunately the upper valvetrain had different ideas and brought everything to an abrupt halt early on the Second Day of testing – which was a shame as Day Two was really when the track started to come on!

Again, a huge credit to Lorenzo, the Gullotto family and the DS Racing team for a proper weapon of a car that has been finished to the absolute highest degree. And personally to Lorenzo for firstly coming up with the idea to get this track prepped and also for getting me onboard to be a part of the whole thing and being given an opportunity to put a killer video together on the whole event.

The Foxbody also still holds the number one spot for the fastest radial car in Western Australia!

The Oosterwaals and the Camaro in all the years we’ve watched this car, this was the track they had been waiting for…. The perfect opportunity to roll the car off the trailer and get it down the track on the power level they (and the car) love to run at, which is essentially all of it, immediately!

No surprises in that the car was pretty much on kill as it is every other time the boys roll it out from under the bridge at our track, the huge power LS tested the waters quickly with the track taking a little while to get those layers of fresh rubber down but once that foundation was there it was set for an absolute ripper of a pass. To see the car finally get out past the 60ft, and continue through the 330ft markers with the boost still ramping in and the front wheels in the air as the power was coming in was something we had waited on for a very long time! Unfortunately with all of the stars aligned and everything where it needed to be the boys were met with one small issue which brought their weekend to a grinding halt, the LSX Block had split a bore during that absolute belter of a pass which led to an early shut off, lucky it was picked up in the staging lanes when the Camaro came back around for another go – so the car lives to fight another day and we have no doubt it will smash it’s 7 second PB in no time judging by that pass to be!

You might have also seen in the Radial Prep Video (go and watch that if you haven’t already) but the boys were that keen to help get the track we all wanted that they came down on the Friday night and also jumped on the tools and put in the hard yards to help scrape all of the old rubber and build up off the track ready for the new surface to go down.

As we’ve said before, this car is one of the angriest sounding cars on the channel and is definitely one you need to hear from the top end, turn it up and enjoy!

The prep video has been months in the making – with alot of thought, effort and preparation behind the scenes (and we mean ALOT) to make this a truly unique and educational watch for anyone interested in learning just what it takes to turn a track from ‘ok’ to ‘elite’!

This particular VL is no stranger to our Channel, featuring many times in previous radial round and private track hires (with previous owner Jarred), the VL is now in the hot hands of new owner Nigel and he definitely had his hands full getting this no joke radial car down the track on our freshly prepped surface!

A big weekend starting with the Friday where the car was overpowering the track early on, to the point that it got so out of shape it provided us with possibly the best save of any car we have ever seen on the Channel!

The quick reaction of Nigel led to a pretty spectacular moment, you can watch and find out exactly how it panned out!

After that the car was packed away in the pits for the day before things really got out of hand, Nigel was back out on the Saturday with the track having more rubber down and a tonne more bite and really got to work in the VL…. On the final pass which was an absolute cracker he certainly found himself some new aero mods by the time he crossed the line! (You can go and watch and find out about that one also, not going to give it away!!).

The Boosted 388ci is an absolute weapon, and we’ve seen the car deep into the 7’s before so it won’t be long until Nigel is pushing that even further as the car has everything it needs to really push the current PB’s!

Looking forward to more of the Shields Garage VL on the Channel very soon!

All the way from Adelaide! Blake and the Evans Racing Family brought this beaut of a VL over our way to get some wiring work sorted out and get it in the hands of Jeff to give it the JJ Special hot tune!

Just so happens that we also had a pretty decent track for Blake to go and test all of those new tweaks out on while he was here! It was awesome to have Blake and the VL finally here, after following it pretty closely in it’s ventures on the East Coast – to see it up close and personal was pretty awesome!

The Boosted Iron Block LS definitely found it’s groove and after a couple of moments settling the car, Blake managed to smash out a string of PB’s, lucky for him (and us) we were right there to capture it all…

Another succesful example of how much of a difference the track prep made, it was very rewarding watching this one lay down some super clean passes and also the Evans Racing family reactions on the start line!

Dave’s VL was back after ironing out a few gremlins from the previous race rounds, he wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to get the Commodore down on the track surface we’ve been waiting a long time for!

The VL put a heap of laps down and gave us some awesome angles to grab some footage of! Still running the stock Borgwarner rear end it loved picking the wheels up and carrying them down the track!

A name synonymous with Drag Racing here in W.A, another Gullotto and another solid race package!

With wifey Steph racing the VN SS, Matt campaigns his NA Holden Powered VL Calais and between the two are a force to be reckoned with down at the track.

Matt brough the VL down to get a heap of laps in on the freshly prepped track surface, and with another rock solid SCM powerplant up front the car didn’t miss a beat all day.

Matt has spent a fair amount of time on our channel before, crewing for the extended family on the Wild V8 Turbo 1UZFE 2000+ HP Soarer (go and check that out on our channel too), the man behind the mic and making sure the Soarer is lined up perfectly for launch – it was about time we gave Matt some air time in his own car!

Another weapon from the Begley stables, the team at Black Magic Racecars turned the car around in an astonishingly short time frame when the dates for the No Prep Kings Australia Tour were announced. The car was a brand new build and straight off the bat was absolutely dialled – an insanely impressive feat by everyone involved!

The full Murdered out Black Spec Torana dominated at the NPK event at the Motorplex, you’ll have to wait for the Official NPK videos to see the results of that one though!

After NPK however, it was no susprise that Connor wanted to throw a set of Radials on it and really see what the car could do on the freshly prepped track. Connor has run countless laps on Radials in his HZ 1 Tonner both in Supercharged LSA form and then transitioning over to the Twin Turbo Monster as you last saw it.

The Torana is a whole other kettle of fish again, with an even more impressive shopping list of parts and components – the car was set to go big from the get go, and it didn’t disappoint at the track hire!

Probably one of (if not) the hardest hitting radial car at the track, no lag, no waiting for boost, literally no mucking around – just instant brutal power…
Plus the Torana just happens to have one of the toughest idles getting around. Not exactly sure which part of the car is f’ing ugly 🙂 But we can’t get enough of it!!

One of the most featured Rotaries on the channel would have to be Todd’s RX7 who hasn’t missed many (if any) race rounds, you’ll find this Red Rocket in just about every Top Sportsman/Comp video on the Channel.

Super consistent and Super fast and always makes for some awesome video stills with the mother of all flames when he’s on the two step!

Another no mucking around Rotor from the Rotomotion Stables, making big power, big noise and throwing down some solid times – was awesome to see Todd down at the track hire having a go on the freshly prepped surface and cutting some laps.
