After 4 months if it being stuck in Victoria I finally got our newest present over and able to drive. For those that don’t know we got a bargain at the Lloyds auctions on a Renault Megane RS250 which my lovely wife deemed to be my 40th present from the family .
Tackled one of the bigger jobs on the off season list for our Excel Cup Car, finally welded out the front Lower Control Arm (LCA) mounts.
Friday night was the first tuning night of the year at the WA Sporting Car Clubs Wanneroo raceway, there was a great turn out with everything from the new I20N Hyundai, GT3s to beautiful old Torana’s, we took the Renault Megane RS out for its first test here in WA.
Something a bit different from the normal content but here is a quick tip on the way Brent Peters tackles the worse job in building production based races cars, removing that horrible heavy sticky noise deadening material.
Luckily Laine took two minutes out of the celebrations to catch up and have a good laugh about what he achieved demolishing the field by over 2 seconds with a 57.97 second Lap.
