After securing a Master Ticket at Gazzanats Darwin, Chris Orchard made it through to the Burnout Masters Final 10 (from a field of 39 cars) in his VH Commodore “THE GAME”.

A small wall tap in the Final ruled out any chance of a place but to see & hear the BNR Engines Nascar powered VH Commodore scream at more than 9,000rpm is worth the price of entry alone.

Steven Loader made the Burnout Masters final after qualifying from a field of 39 cars in his Blown Injected BBC HT Sedan “USMOKE”.

After an awesome qualifying skid his Finals attempt was stopped by a tyre fire. Only solution was to reverse to the start line and finish the tyres off.

Aiden Stampalia achieved in a few weeks what takes most months or years.

Over the last 12 – 18 Aiden has been working on the car and just 18 days before Summernats the Torana was nothing more than a bare shell with the chassis work and exhaust completed.

With the help of a few mates and Streetline Automotive the car was completed in record time, with a quick Burnout Test before leaving it was then towed across the Nullabor for a shot at the Wildcard competition.

Things didn’t go exactly to plan with the car experiencing tyre fires in both Burnouts but the acheivement of getting the car to the event and performing in front of a record crowd is something that should be commended.

Pete Grmusa secured a spot into the Burnout Masters after placing in the Top 5 at Gazzanats Darwin, always one to put on a show in his Blown Injected Chev powered XR Falcon “ATRISK”, the Falcon is one of the Angriest cars at the event.

All went well during the qualifying run until he got stuck facing a wall and the reverse gear selector nut failed.
