Nyora Raceway is looking to kick off its new season this Saturday night with a great line-up to entertain race fans that includes a mix of visiting classes and regular club classes providing something for everybody.

Ricky Mills from Traralgon has won his first ever Wingless Sprint feature event on Saturday afternoon when he took down the Gippsland Wingless Sprint Series Round 1 at Drouin Speedway. Mills was not the only big winner as the ‘Bunyip Bandit’ Jeff Blencowe once again won the ‘Sally Memorial’ for Standard Saloon’s in honour of Sally Walkinshaw.
The Daylesford Speedway Association look forward to providing a great day’s entertainment this Sunday with their second attempt to start the season hosting all the local club heroes along with invited classes the Standard Saloons, Sports Sedans and 1200cc Junior Sedans.
After two attempts to hold a race meeting have been curtailed by weather this season already, West Gippsland motorsport fans are hoping it can be third time lucky and we get in a race show this Saturday from mid afternoon and into early evening at Drouin Speedway.
The Victorian Mini-Lightning Sprints Club season is upon us, and the club has been busy in the off-season putting together a tremendous calendar that will see the class travel to venues they have not been at in recent years, along with continuing to compete at their old favourites that include the Nyora, Rosedale, and Laang tracks
This weekend, the now traditional Nyora Raceway double header Melbourne Cup weekend will see the terrific little entertainment venue in Nyora kick start the season for Speedway competitors and motorsport fans from right around Victoria and as is the case this weekend, for competitors from New South Wales and South Australia also
Drouin Speedway Club starts its season this Sunday with its traditional Crash and Bash opening event with great support from all the local club classes plus the visiting Vintage Hot Rod Club, the Aces of Spades.
Redline Raceway’s annual end of season trophy night combined with the Ern Overall Memorial for Modified Sedans and after some terrific racing during the qualifying stages for all classes, the mountain fog drifted in and pulled down the curtain on the season finale ten laps into the feature everybody was waiting for, the Modifieds
Wangaratta City Raceway is finished for another season with many featured events and series rounds providing terrific entertainment this past Saturday night for the final time until November. The biggest winner of them all was Wangaratta club member Felicity Roycroft who finished second in the major event
This past very wet weekend warmed up Sunday afternoon with the last feature events for the season at Daylesford Speedway and the year ending Caravan Race of course to send spectators home with a smile
