This Saturday night the Wangaratta City Raceway is set for a huge opening night of the season with the Sprintcars coming from all around Victoria to do battle in round one of the season after numerous disruptions down south to starting their season due to weather. Nyora Raceway got its season underway on the weekend finally after a weather affected start for everybody including the popular South Gippsland entertainment venue. Drivers had travelled with numerous classes with competitors from Mildura amongst those that made the trip into town. For eight classes competing, qualifying races had all been completed when the rain began during the finals. After weeks of miserable weather and a long absence of racing since May, the proud Horsham Speedway Drivers Club is set to host the first of many exciting events for the season this Saturday night starting with a visit from the All Star Sprintcars and the South Australian Street Stock Series. Daylesford Speedway is hoping to get their season under way this Sunday starting just before lunch with a full show including all the clubs’ independent classes along with Vintage and Victorian Speedway Council classes.
