Wahgunyah Speedway held a terrific Maverick Marine race night on the weekend (March 14th) with the final round of the annual Colin Young Memorial the latest event promoted by the Goulburn Ovens Sedans Association for their competitors, taking top billing. A field of seventy plus Victorian Speedway Council Standard Saloons have completed battle across two nights at Australian Racing Products Redline Raceway in their quest to be crowned Victorian champion for the next twelve months and at the conclusion, It would be Mitch Foster from Morwell in Gippsland that would come out on top ahead of Kacey Ingram, Redline member Scott Whittle, Jack Braz, and Ballarat racer Austin Chivers. Saturday night (28th of February) at Bairnsdale Speedway was attended to by over eighty race drivers with three big events highlighting the evenings racing after over fifty mils of rain had soaked the track prior to race day. Damien Miller from Melbourne’s southeast took the win in the JP Asphalting Extreme Sports Sedans Series round after his brother lost a wheel whilst leading, causing the final stoppage of the race handing the win to big brother Damien. Drouin Speedway Club have held their latest race meeting (on February 21st) with the Victorian Junior Standard Saloon title up for grabs, the Race for Dougo for Open Standard Saloons, and a mini feature for Street Stocks, along with some freestyle Motorcross performances.
