Matt Payne and Penrite Racing delivered a tactical masterclass to claim a stunning victory in Race 13 of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship at Symmons Plains Raceway. Capitalising on a mid-race Safety Car and opting for a second compulsory stop while others committed to longer stints, Payne surged from 11th on the grid to snatch victory by just 0.05s in a photo finish over Broc Feeney.

The 2025 Supercars Championship burst into life at Symmons Plains Raceway with a chaotic but compelling Saturday featuring two qualifying sessions and a pair of high-stakes races. The Tasmania Super 440’s tight and technical layout delivered drama at every turn, with Broc Feeney claiming a dominant double victory, Bryce Fullwood scoring a podium, and PremiAir Racing collecting two top ten finishes despite mixed fortunes across both garages.

Day one of the Tasmania Super 440 at Symmons Plains Raceway delivered a flurry of lap times, setup experiments, and varied fortunes across the Supercars and Super2 fields. With crisp conditions and a narrow, technical circuit pushing teams to chase perfection in the smallest margins, Friday’s dual practice sessions provided a compelling preview of what’s to come across the weekend.
