I used to be a speedway tragic. I grew up getting taken to Claremont Speedway every few Friday nights and as soon as I could drive I was taking myself to the speedway every Friday night either by myself or with friends. You’ve probably all heard the stories

We joined the Streetbuilt Racing Team for another day of tuning, this time it was one of the big hitting radial cars back from a fresh build and ready to go even BIGGER!

The Performance Towing LC Torana which in it’s previous form was a low 7 second quarter mile capable car – 7.201 @ 194.7mph to be specific and on a 275 radial tyre is now gunning to be the first to join the elusive 6 second club on a radial in W.A.

With 427 cubic inches to play with and fed by Twin Precision Gen 2 Turbos, this LS is one bada$$ little combo.

Jeff did his thing and worked away at the boost, fuel and timing curves checking the data after each pass before making adjustments – the end result was substantial!

Can’t wait to see the Torana back out and racing at the Perth Motorplex in the Outlaw Radial Class, and be there to see if it can be the first to grab that 6 second time slip!!
