The WA Sporting Car Club is gearing up for it’s June race meet with 111 competitors ready to grid up on a forecasted wet Sunday.

Leading the grid will be the Saloon Cars with their classic Holden vs Ford competition and 26 cars lining up in the PRO-AM EA/VN and PRO AU/VT classes. Last year’s PRO champion Grant Johnson holds a 60 point lead over teammate Matt Martin who has Brock Boley nipping at his heels while in the PRO-AM series Michael Holdcroft holds a 1 point lead over Just Chaffey with Mark Jones a further 10 points behind.

Improved Production and Street Cars will be presenting a joint grid with 12 IP cars and 7 street cars in what could be some of the more entertaining racing as the street cars drivers push some of the back marker IP cars to go fast or get out of the way.

Exciting news out of the Sports Sedan / Sports Cars category is the expected running of two TA2 cars, which will be a great introduction of the TA2 series to West Australian motorsport fans.

Formula Ford, Formula Racing, FRS and Historic Touring cars make up the rest of the fields.

Spectators welcome for $5 in the park and view areas so keeping dry won’t be a problem for them.
