Nishi-D returns to Wanneroo Raceway

With motorsport in Western Australia slowly making a return, the Japanese styled Nishi-D events were the latest to return with over 55 entrants on a soggy Sunday.

Each Nishi-D event runs with a layout similar to a Japanese drift track organised and layed out by the master of these events, Ken Leong from Driftschool WA.

The stormy conditions couldn’t dampen spirits with all competitors and passengers looking forward to some well overdue track time with some fantastic prizes on offer for all the entrants.

The team drift style was again pushed with the emphasis on making it less about the battle and more about the spectacle for those watching and with no spectators permitted at this round, it was a fantastic time for the teams to practice ready for when the spectators return.

At the end of the day the Nishi-D team ensure that every competitor walks away with a prize by playing rock paper scissors amongst them all in a large group.

The next event is on August 29th, to find out more details check out the Nishi-D Facebook page
