The new series will see Harley-Davidson’s race-prepared Road Glide baggers go head-to-head across six MotoGP rounds in Europe and North America. Each event will feature two races, creating a 12-race calendar designed to deliver a fresh spectacle to Grand Prix weekends.
Between six and eight teams are expected to compete, each fielding two riders and backed by Harley-Davidson Factory Racing. The initiative builds on Harley-Davidson’s recent success in the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers series, and aims to showcase the brand’s performance credentials on a global scale.
Harley-Davidson Chairman, President and CEO Jochen Zeitz called the move a bold evolution of the company’s racing ambitions.
“Harley-Davidson has been pioneering performance for more than 120 years, both on and off the road,” Zeitz said. “This new championship celebrates that legacy while driving us into the future. We’ve seen strong engagement from fans around our racing programs and high-performance models like the CVO Road Glide ST. Now we’re bringing that excitement to the world’s biggest motorcycle racing stage.”
MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports welcomed the addition, with CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta highlighting the alignment of strategy and spectacle.
“This partnership with Harley-Davidson brings a unique element to our events,” Ezpeleta said. “It’s a chance for Harley to expand its international footprint, while MotoGP adds a new and entertaining feature to its race weekends. Together, we’ll reach new audiences and bring even more energy to our global fanbase.”
The 2026 calendar, including specific MotoGP rounds hosting the new series, will be announced closer to launch.
