LMCT+, known for its automotive giveaways and Australia-wide shopping membership program, is throwing its support behind grassroots motorsport by aligning with two of the NT’s most iconic events. Both Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North are sanctioned by the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA), with strong support from the Northern Territory Government and NT Major Events Company.
Now in its 11th year, Red CentreNATS has become a staple of the Australian automotive calendar. Held in Alice Springs, the event draws competitors and fans from across the country for a three-day celebration of modified cars, Pro Burnouts, elite show cars, street cruising and high-powered drags — all set against the backdrop of central Australia.
Meanwhile, Nitro Up North will return as a standalone event in 2025, reigniting Darwin’s Hidden Valley Dragway on August 29–30. Fans can expect the thunderous Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars, the Grand Final of the NDRC Top Doorslammer championship, and the season opener of the 2025/2026 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.
LMCT+’s involvement will bring expanded marketing reach, operational support, and its trademark flair — including giveaways and activations at both events.
Adrian Portelli, LMCT+ founder and noted car enthusiast, said the partnership reflects his passion for both horsepower and community.
“This is about building on the amazing work already being done in the Territory to deliver unforgettable motorsport experiences,” Portelli said.
“The NT has a huge base of car lovers who deserve events like Red CentreNATS and Nitro Up North. We’re proud to help take these events to the next level.”
Andy Lopez, co-owner of Summernats and the National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC), welcomed LMCT+ to the team.
“Adrian joined us as a shareholder in 2024 because he loves cars and a great time. LMCT+ fits perfectly with our vision for growing these events in the NT,” Lopez said.
With LMCT+ backing, both events are set to scale up in 2025, promising bigger crowds, bolder displays, and a boost for community motorsport across the region.
