This Saturday night South Gippsland will kick up a gear with the Nyora Raceway providing a Sprintcar and Christmas night for all. All of the local clubs’ local champions will also compete in their classes in a great way to enjoy a night out a weekend before Christmas.

The Victorian Speedway council Sprintcars under the Victorian Sprintcar Association banner will compete with the likes of Bairnsdale’s Adam Greenwood, Alistair Bastian and Adam Greenwood doing battle against the Victorian champion Steven Horton.  The ‘Kings with Wings’ are always spectacular with passing, speed, and crashes, they are not to be missed.

Our Junior Standard Saloons will be on the program also with Harry Cecil the current benchmark for the field. Beau Stuchbery, Zac Barwise the winner this past weekend at Drouin, Chase Ingram, Blake and Kaine Smith, and Jack and Tom Braz are others to keep an eye on whilst Bryce Leek debuts in the class and has been a top runner in the 1200 Sedans also.

In Ladies Standard Saloon action Tish Dike is the driver everybody needs to beat along with Ally Morrison the current back-to-back state champion of the class. Those two Ladies will be in their battle whilst Elise Halliday tries to make a podium again after doing so at our last meeting.

Open Standard Saloon action will see the likes of Brodie Ardley, Dean Spring, Kacey Ingram, Matt Leek, Wayne Sheerman, Rhys Lansdown, Andrew dike and Victor Benson in a fierce battle. It should be a fiercely contested event.

He will also be against tough competition in the Sports Sedans with Caleb Lincoln a winner here last season returning. Other competition includes Felicity Roycroft the Sports Sedan champion at Wangaratta, Ray Gould, John Dike, Steven Loader a Sprintcar and Burnout competitor keen for a skid and Lee Beach who finished second at Alexandra last weekend.

The Junior Sedan Promotional Association holds a round of their series this weekend at Nyora. The event is being supported by Miles Mechanical from Pakenham. In the Speedway Sedans Australia Top Stars, Linken Paterson fresh off setting a track record at Alexandra leads our nominations. Bree Simpson, James Oliver, River Paterson, and Kiarna Barton are just some of the Top Star Junior Sedan racers to watch.

Whilst Cruz Farrell leads the nominations in the New Star class of Juniors. He has won his last two starts in the class and this weekend comes up against Tyson Heaphy Harry Dunn, and Jaylen Knight and numerous other rookie drivers new this season.
