You might have seen the recent dyno video on our channel we did on the Maloo where it pumped out a ridiculous amount of horsepower and in the scheme of things that was only really baselining the car, not even leaning on it overly hard for what that combination it truly capable of.
As most people would say, the real test is down the track and well…. I would say this passed any test you could throw at it with flying colours!
Without giving too much away, Tony did not muck around when it came to putting the car through it’s paces and launching the car straight to the pointy end of the fastest radial cars in Western Australia to date.
The only real giveaways by looking at this car that it’s not your ordinary Maloo (which aren’t slow off the showroom floor to begin with) are the 275 Pro Radials tucked under the rear, the coolers dry sump reservioir you can see if you look close enough through the front and the drag wing and twin chutes on the rear. Nothing overly over the top in the scheme of things. But this is no ordinary Maloo (as I’m sure you have already guessed), the 511ci Billet Aluminium motor which is straight from a Doorslammer and fed by two 94mm Precision Gen 1 Turbo’s with all the supporting gear you can poke a stick at make this one car that is built to go fast…. extremely fast!
The RPM Parts and Performance Team along with Audio Image, ADR Engines and KarKulture Motorsport definitely made the most of the couple of days track hire with both the Maloo and Ballistics Clubsport, and while we weren’t able to get down to Day Two in person – Our good mate Flinty was kind enough to help us out with the footage we weren’t able to get from Day Two….. The guys are already prepping the car to head East and compete in the pro series Radial Events held in the next few months, we won’t be able to accompany them this time around but will be aiming to head over in the near future to follow the action with the teams repping W.A in the Radial Series!
