The first car we ever filmed on our Channel, and just happens to be one of our close family friends in which our parents have known each other long before we were even born..
The Pisconeri’s are synonymous with ridiculously fast Fords, with Peter (Ben’s Dad) being one of the best Ford Performance Engine builders in the country (let alone any engine for that matter). With the drag racing roots running deep, it was almost a given that one day we would see Ben following in his Dads foot steps. And with the technology and componentry available in this day and age of racing, Ben was making serious headway with making ridiculous power with the Ford Intech motors (and this isn’t just recently, we are talking a good 12+ years ago), Ben has been playing with these factory motors and boost since he got his license!
Over the past few years we watched the Mustang debuted and Bens racing career progress, with a clear, consistent and calculated approach to everything he does the car has continued to perform more and more and in the last 6 months has only gone faster and faster. Earlier in the year Ben broke into the 7.50’s which landed him the Quickest SOHC Intech World Record, and since then Ben has reset that record at least two more times that we can recall (all of these are on our channel by the way!). We are extremely proud to have not one, but two of our businesses represented on the back of this absolute rocket of a car – one that would fit right in at any high end car show and which joins the likes of Lorenzo’s Foxbody and Tony’s Maloo in terms of absolutely elite level racecar presentation along with the utmost perfection when it comes to form and function.
If you’ve never seen or heard Ben’s mustang make a pass before then you are in for a treat, with a completely unique sound the car absolutely screams the whole way down the track. Ben is currently only 1.4mph off the Fastest World Record for an SOHC Intech and we have no doubt this will change next time we see the car down the track. For a stock block inline 6 this car absolutely hauls the freight, and puts some of the boosted V8’s on notice!
If anything, Ben is a pioneer when it comes to getting the most out of these motors… Through years of testing and enhancing and the experience gained I don’t think there is a more knowledgeable person walking this earth. With just about everything on the car carried out by Ben and his Dad (including the tuning) and the reliability they’ve managed to sustain with the combo is truly impressive.
