SUPERCARS: Broc Feeney Hits Wanneroo Raceway for First Time in Radical at Local Test n Tune Day

Supercars rookie Broc Feeney arrived in Perth a few days ahead and took advantage of the WA Sporting Car Club’s Test and Tune day to get in some laps ahead of this weekend’s return of Supercars to Perth

The 19 year old who currently sits 6th in the Repco Supercars Championship turned in some laps in an Arise Racing Radical giving him a chance to drive out on a track he hasn’t been to before.

Feeney had the whole Arise complex to himself for the day with other Radical Cup Australia drivers not arriving yet for the weekend ahead and had driver whisperer BD Soutar Dawson in his ear working through the data from the laps he put in.

It also appeared others taking advantage of the test and tune day were a lot of the local Perth racers who had turned out in force for the test and tune session before the Supercars team take over the venue fully.

Maybe its the idea of being able to be on the same surface as a few days later the V8 Supercars drivers will, or the additions to the track Supercars brings with them that elevates the Wanneroo circuit to a new level, whatever it was there were cars from daily drivers to Super2s out on track.

The Radical category will be on track this weekend as a support category alongside the V8 SuperUtes and the Historic Touring Cars.
