We couldn’t resist a hot joke considering that in Western Australia the temperature will be above 37 for most of this week leading into the weekend too, but the Perth Motorplex race surfaces will really heat up this weekend as Fast Series Round 4 and the Alf Barbagallo tribute night are set to sizzle!
First up on Friday 18th February is the Shannons Fast Series where the gates swing open for both Speedway and Drag fans with dual running of both facilities for one entry fee.
On the drag racing side of things there will be Super Modified, Super Street, Real Street, Super Bike and Junior Dragsters taking to the strip from 6pm while on the speedway side there’s a huge line up including 360/410 sprintcars, limited sprintcars, Formula 500s & junior Formula 500s, late models, wingless sprints, street stocks, production sedans, junior sedans, V8 dirt modifieds, 320 sprintcars and outlaw karts.
On Saturday 19th February its all about Alf Barbagallo. The Perth motorsport competitor who has competed across various disciplines in dirt and circuit racing and to honour him there’ll be Sprintcars galore including the Maddington Toyota Sprintcars, Limited Sprintcars and Wingless Sprints plus late models and speedcars.
Qualifying begins at 4.30pm, feature program from 5.30pm.
