Australian oil brand Penrite has taken naming rights of both Ford Mustang Supercars, which will make their competitive debuts in Sydney in March.
David Reynolds and Lee Holdsworth kicked off Australia Day celebrations at Luna Park on Wednesday.
“Today is Australia Day and we have come out early to reveal our Penrite livery and we thought there was no better place than Luna Park,” Reynolds said.
“This place is an icon of Australia and Melbourne, and Penrite is an all-Australian brand, so we brought those two things together.
“We have a test day coming up in February and it will be the most important day to start the year.
“We have heaps of new components to try, heaps of ideas and new people to upskill and train for the day.
“It is going to be a huge day.”
“It’s Australia Day, we’re outside Luna Park, a great Australian icon, and we’re launching our two car Penrite Racing team,” Holdsworth said.
“The cars look fantastic, and it looks really professional having two cars that look the same.
“It’s great that Penrite has stepped up their support for the team to have the two cars look identical.
“We’re looking forward to having them on track… the season can’t come quick enough.”
