Returning for its 4th year the Drifting event that gives the opportunity for persons who may not be able to enjoy the thrills and spills of motorsport first hand the chance to jump in drift cars with some of Perth’s best drifters.
The event to be held at Wanneroo Raceway on Friday 19th November brings together the drift community of Western Australia for a good cause in raising funds for the Ability Centre head quartered in Coolbinia.
Ability WA is a not-for-profit disability service provider that has been supporting Western Australian families for more than 70 years and is committed to providing their customers and their families with the services and supports they need. Ability WA supports people living with cerebral palsy, autism and other physical and intellectual disabilities.
The event has already been fully subscribed to and is always in high demand from the Ability centre customers well in advance of the event who get a chance to jump in the cars at various speeds and intensity rates depending upon their individual safety requirements.
Some of the drivers lining up to take passengers out include Guy Valentinusson, Daniel Silvestro, Will Maycock, Robert Coleman, Daniel Simmonds, Russ Thomas, Andrew Cahill, Cory Gilpin, Robby Hornby-Watts, Matt Haggerty, Luke Utterson and more to be announced.
The event is run by a volunteer committee with volunteer helpers on the day assisting to get the attendees into the cars, running the track and more.
If you’re looking to support the event, head on over to the official GoFundMe page to donate.
