After a snap 3 day lockdown announced during the practice day for the third round of the 2021 WA Sporting Car Club Championship due to COVID, the club announced quickly a replacement date being Saturday the 1st May.
Gates open Saturday from 7am, racing from 9am.
On track will be 8 categories including the Excel Cup cars, Formula Vee, Formula Ford, Historic Touring Cars, Improved Production & Production Cars, Street Cars, Sports Sedans & Sports Cars plus the Tarmac Sportz Series Sprint.
For those not familiar with the Tarmac Sportz Series, it is a series of entry level motorsport events aimed to get more participation in motorsport at a grassroots motorsport level.
The Tarmac Sportz Series includes point2point, sprint and car control challenges aimed at introducing participants to the competitive environment, in the least competitive way. No actual door to door racing occurs, however best times are recorded for all competitors.
For details including timetable, entrants list etc and more keep an eye out on the www.wascc.com.au website.
No word yet if spectators will be permitted as it all depends on the current COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the West Australian government.
