The 50th annual Westernationals comes to the Perth Motorplex this long weekend and the action is set to be non-stop from the time qualifying starts until the presentations on Sunday night.
This two day event features a full field of Doorslammers competing in the West Coast Top Doorslammer challenge, Nitro guzzling machines on two wheels in the West Coast Nitro Bike Challenge all vying for the ANDRA Gold Christmas Tree Trophy.
In addition to the competitive side, the WA Nitro Funny Cars will be doing exhibition only passes over the weekend and combined with the Top Fuel Motorcycles, you’ll be yelling “I love the smell of Nitro in the air!”

With a full field of Doorslammers battling it out in the West Coast Top Doorslammer Challenge running head to head over the two days and then there is those Nitro Guzzling 2 wheeled machines also chasing a win in the West Coast Nitro Bike Challenge with WA’s Benny Stevens and Wayne McGuinness heading the Harley charge and both will be hoping to carry on their performances of late while Jay Upton is steadily creeping up on his new combo and ready to take on all comers. These guys will be racing for the much sort after ANDRA Gold Christmas Tree Trophy in each division so the action is going to red hot from the outset!
The WA Nitro Funny Car guys will be doing Exhibition passes over the weekend so along the Top Fuel Motorcycles there will be plenty of Nitro getting pumped into the Motorplex air over the two days!
This event will also see Round 9 of the ANDRA Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series as well as Round 7 of the WA Outlaw Radial Championship
