The striking Dunlop Super Dealer Racing Supercar will return to the real-life grid when Supercars resume this weekend for the Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint after the COVID break.

The iconic yellow and black colours have featured on the #8 Brad Jones Racing Commodore at a number of Supercar events over the years, including six rounds of the Supercars All Stars Eseries over the past 3 months.

“It was great being able to showcase the Dunlop Tyres ‘virtual’ Supercar throughout the Eseries but I’m so bloody excited to line up on that grid for real this weekend,” said Percat.

“We always get fantastic support from the Dunlop dealers when we roll out the yellow and black livery. The dealers get so excited seeing this car on track as they’re very connected with the brand and the team so I know they and the fans will love seeing this livery for our first round back.”

“It’s going to be a very exciting weekend of racing, especially with the new two-day format. We don’t get much time to tune the cars between sessions so it’ll make it very interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds and finally putting on that helmet for the first time in what feels like forever! I’m keen to get out there and put on a great show,” Percat stated.

Dunlop Tyres has been an integral part of Australian Motorsport for more than 70 years, with their industry-leading innovative tyre designs and development keeping them at the forefront of technology across multiple racing categories. As well as supporting BJR for many years, 2020 marks Dunlop Tyres’ 19th season supplying the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Tony Kiernan, Senior Brand Manager for Dunlop Tyres and a proud supporter of Australian Motorsport and Supercars in particular added “Like all motor sport fans we at Dunlop can’t wait to see and hear the real Supercars do their unique thing at Sydney Motorsport Park. Of course we will be cheering loudest for Nick’s #8 Brad Jones Racing Commodore in the striking Dunlop Super Dealer livery. Let the excitement begin, and go get ‘em Nick!”

Alongside Dunlop, BJR is excited to announce Lansvale Smash Repairs will be on board with Nick on the #8 Commodore for Sydney MotorSport Park. One of the largest panel beating shops in Sydney and a recognized leader in the field of smash repairs, Lansvale Smash has been a partner of BJR for 10 years and we’re proud to continue our partnership.

Supercars resumes this weekend at the Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint on the 27th- 28th of June, with a revised format consisting of three 130km sprint races and a top 15 shootout. Stay tuned to the Brad Jones Racing Facebook and Instagram pages across the event for the latest updates.
