Boost Mobile and Tickford Racing have unveiled the war paint with which James Courtney will make his Ford Mustang debut at this weekend’s Sydney SuperSprint.

Courtney and Boost Mobile join Tickford Racing as the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship resumes following a three-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that period, Tickford Racing customer team 23Red Racing suffered the withdrawal of its primary partner, however the support of Boost Mobile allowed Tickford to continue operating four Ford Mustang Supercars, with 2010 champion Courtney taking the wheel of the No. 44 Boost Mobile Ford Mustang.

“The car looks amazing,” Courtney said. “The team and Boost Mobile Racing have done an awesome job getting everything prepared, we’re ready to go and ready to get our new partnership off to a strong start. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and get out on track.”

Courtney started the season competing for Team Sydney, but is eager to get into racing form with the Victoria-based organisation.

“I’m definitely excited to get back on track for some real racing,” Courtney said of this weekend’s event, “and even more so to be making my debut with Tickford in the Boost Mobile Ford Mustang. It’ll be pretty full on but the team had a great start to the year, so I’m confident I can get myself up to speed and we can get off to a good start this weekend.”

Courtney and Boost Mobile Racing will hit the track Saturday and Sunday at Sydney Motorsport Park for the Sydney SuperSprint, Round 3 of the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars season. Practice begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. AEST, with Races 7, 8, and 9 scheduled across the two-day event.
